May 9th was Joe's 32nd Birthday! Sometimes it's hard to believe that he is such an
old man! just kidding! Or am I???? I remember the days when Joe and I first started dating... he was 29 and I was 23; I was so worried about the fact that we are seven, yes seven years apart in age! Now it's just comforting to know he will never need to leave me for a younger woman... muwahahaha.
This year we celebrated by inviting all of Joe's friends and family to play Frisbee at the park and then head to dinner at
Fox and Hound Rock Bottom Brewery. Joe kept joking that he was "gonna get
smashed hammered" and we all encouraged him to. People (Including myself) bought him many beers and shots throughout the night but he kept his composure well. You really couldn't tell the alcohol was affecting him at all! Darn him for not being a crazy, funny drunk person! It was only at bed time that I realized I had allowed and encouraged
(strongly encouraged) him to drink a little toooo much. I made him drink a few glasses of water (despite his protests of, "I don't want it, I'm not thirsty") and crossed my fingers that the hangover wouldn't be too bad.
We are so blessed to have such great friends and family around us for special occasions. We truly value people that take time out of their busy schedules to show their love! oh, can't forget to thanks those that also brought a gift.... love those too!!!!
