"I Was Hiding Under Your Porch Because I Love You"

We are Dog people.  We are.  We don't hide it, deny it, or feel embarrassed about it.  We believe dogs really are a persons best friend.

A few months or so back the hubs and I were upstairs chilling, when we heard some strange clamoring, clanking noises coming from the downstairs.  We assumed that Mr. Sora was chewing a bone on the tile, and making a ruckus. After ignoring it for a few minutes we hear the sound of the metal spatula hit the bottom of a glass pan.  Joe and I both Perked right up! We both screamed,
"THE BROWNIES!"

This among other events helped Joe and I realize that Sora would benefit from a playmate.  After a few weeks of searching for the RIGHT puppy we found a little corgi mix on Petfinder.com   We drove to Texas, to pick up our newest family member.
(I said we were Dog people, keep up)
And, It was SO worth it!

Meet Roxas the Rockstar:

The best part is that he turned out to be a perfect lil bro to Sora.  They play like crazy maniacs!  And Sweet little Roxas puts himself to bed at night. he just ring the bell to go outside and then when he comes back in goes straight in his kennel and ZZzzzZZ till morning.  Hes great.

We are his Persons. And we couldn't feel luckier. :)

One Month-iversary

It’s hard to believe that it a month ago yesterday was Joe and my wedding day.  And what a great wedding it was.
Since then we have traveled to Italy, put away all the wedding gifts, written thank you notes (and sent most of them out… were bad).  We’ve already hosted  3 Friday game nights and made group effort tuna melts with the Perezes  (one of our favorite Tuesday night activities), gone to the 1st ever Denver fair and begun to  decorate the guest room.

I was driving home from my fabulous new job today, and the weather was dark and chilly, with a crisp air smell.  It made me think of the holidays, and how quickly they are approaching.  {It’s my favorite time of year!}  Right when school starts for the kidos, the weather does funky things and you have a gut wrenching feeling that the next 6 months of your life are about to fly by faster than ever.  So I called the hubs and told him “Happy one-month anniversary, I feel like we are going to be an old married couple before we know it.”
And I thought ‘Isn’t it great?’

Our Wedding!

Very recently I got married to the most awesomest man alive!
I am still excited
Everyday I make it a point to say "Good morning Husband" or "Hello, Husband" ;)
I took a Que from Little Miss Momma and now I call him "The Hubs" (Thanks Ashley!)
People keep asking me how married life is... I say its the same.
But is it?
Actually I can confidently say,
(now that I've had almost 3 weeks to think about it) that I feel:
more secure,
safe,
more comfortable in my own home,
*where Joe and I have lived for 6 months before we were even married*.
How about that!?

We have some time to wait before we receive the wedding video or the professional photos. But luckily we had a fabulous photo-booth at the wedding and some guest who took great pictures for us.

Stay tuned for more pictures and details!
